چکیده

In this paper we present the lessons learned from the deployment of a collaborative pervasive game on two different sites. We emphasize on the practical aspects of getting a pervasive system deployed without any extra special infrastructure. Based on our experience, we describe the issues providers and administrators must take into consideration to deploy and maintain pervasive environments. In this perspective, we highlight that ubiquitous technologies must be consciously attended, as they are unevenly distributed and unevenly available.

Game Traffic Classification Using Statistical Characteristics at the Transport Layer

© 2010 ETRI Journal, Volume 32, Number 1, February 2010 The pervasive game environments have activated explosive growth of the Internet over recent decades. Thus, understanding Internet traffic characteristics and precise classification have become important issues in network management, resource provisioning, and game application development. Naturally, much attention has been given to analyzi...

Player Perception of Context Information Utilization in Pervasive Mobile Games

Pervasive games combine real world and virtual game elements in game design. A player might need to find WiFi hot spots, move to different locations based on mobile network cell IDs, or to do certain tasks at different times of the day. These are just few examples how the real world elements can be utilized in game design. The possibilities for using this kind of context information seem versat...

Cooperative network flow problem with pricing decisions and allocation of benefits: A game theory approach

Several real problems in telecommunication, transportation, and distribution industries can be well analyzed by network flow models. In revenue management, pricing plays a primary role which increases the profit generated from a limited supply of assets. Pricing decision directly affects the amount of service or product demand. Hence, in traditional maximum flow problem, we assume that the dema...

Multiple attribute decision making with triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers based on zero-sum game approach

For many decision problems with uncertainty, triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number is a useful tool in expressing ill-known quantities. This paper develops a novel decision method based on zero-sum game for multiple attribute decision making problems where the attribute values take the form of triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers and the attribute weights are unknown. First, a new value ind...
